I have represented Coombe Vale as a Councillor for many years and, through regular ward surgeries, have persued hundreds of issues on behalf of fellow residents. I am a retired Police Officer, living in Cromford Way, and am able to devote my time and energy to the residents of Coombe Vale. I do voluntary work for Malden Care and sit on the Coombe Vale Safer Neighbourhood Policing Committee. Since being elected as a Councillor in 2006, I have held regular monthly Surgeries and been able to give help and support to numerous issues raised by residents that were important to either themselves or their neighbourhood.

I have lived in Coombe Vale for over 40 years and I have seen many changes during that time, not always for the better. I witnessed how Liberal Democrat Councillors, who until 2006 dominated the Neighbourhood Committee, rejected reasoned argument and rode roughshod over their electorate in order to satisfy their own narrow objectives.

I successfully led a campaign to force our Liberal Democrat council to remove glass recycling bins from outside private residences, and I campaigned against the graffiti wall in the Cut.

I fully support the Conservative-held Maldens & Coombe Neighbourhood decision not introduce traffic management measures unless they have the support of residents, or they are essential in the interests of safety.
